A familiarization trip to Azerbaijan was organized for representatives of leading tourism companies from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan by the Azerbaijan Tourism Board.

As part of the visit, B2B (business-to-business) meetings were held with the participation of over 60 representatives from local tourism companies and hotels.

During the trip, the representatives from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan had the opportunity to explore key tourist attractions in Baku, as well as visit Shamakhi and Basqal. They became acquainted with local tourism products, hotels, available infrastructure, and services offered — including beach tourism along the Caspian Sea.

In the first half of 2025, over 68,000 international visitors from these two countries traveled to Azerbaijan, marking a 15% increase compared to the same period last year. Currently, there are direct flights from four cities in Kazakhstan and two cities in Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan.
